This was a really cool project my freshman year at Portland State. It was a K through 12, learning center for the Oaks Bottom Wildlife refuge park located in green Portland Oregon. I focused on creating a building with a minimum footprint. therefore the entire structure in anchored by concrete legs that stand on the edge of the lake. It includes a nature viewing wing as well as administrative offices and two large classrooms. the terrace on top affords amazing views of the hundreds of different bird species that call this place home.
